PHT invites you to a talk entitled : Hajj and the Malayan Experience, 1860s to 1941. Senior lecturer Dr Aiza Mazlan @ Baharudin, an expert on Islamic history and the Malay Hajj, joined by Mike Gibby (of Penang Hills and Pulau Jerejak stories), will present the case of early Hajj experience, the epidemics and overcrowding in ships, and how it shaped the British policies then.
