The proposed Penang Transport Master Plan proposed the reclamation of three islands south of Penang. However, have we stopped to wonder how the reclamation will affect the residents and community there? How will the reclamation affect those whose livelihood is tied to the sea?
Come join us for this free screening of ‘A Fisherman’s Prayer’, a film by local filmmaker Andrew Han, that shares the plight and voice of the fisherfolk community there. A discussion session featuring Andrew and En Zakaria (the featured fisherman in the film) will be held after the screening.
This is a free event, but donations will be collected and channelled to the Penang Tolak Tambak campaign.
